Another great day for Mummy and Daddy. Liam raced off to kindy in the morning where he made face masks and did some painting. Kerry and Helen looked after him and when we picked him up they told us that he ran around all the time again but this time he did eat all the food we left him. |
Rosie and I played the new course today and initially I wasn't that impressed. It just seemed longer and narrower than the old course. The change over to the second nine saw a complete change in the course. The whole second nine wound its way around lakes and a river. |
No. 13 was very interesting, Rosie managed to hit the palm tree on the right and then it bounced into the bridge hidden behind the bridge and then come flying back into the middle of the lake. Looked impressive. |
No. 14 was another 180yd Par 3 on which you had to carry a lake to make it to a green surrounded by bunkers.

No. 15 was a very daunting hole, it was a 486yd Par 5. You started out having to carry 150m to get over the lake. The second shot had a lake all the way down the left hand side as well as bunkers along both the left and right hand sides of the fairway. The third shot still had the lake and the bunkers and then the green was protected by several bunkers. 15 bunkers in all. Bruce played it well but pulled to approach shot a bit and landed adjacent to the pin only off the green. Bruce won again today (only 28 points though) so will keep an 18 handicap and Rosie will now play off 23 tommorrow (25 points today). Neither one of us played the course well but we should do better the next time now that we know a bit more about the placement of the greens. |

We had lunch back at our unit and then we all went off to the putting green. the resort had two lawn bowls rinks but have changed one of them into a small putt putt course. Liam quite enjoyed it but had no idea about how hard to hit the ball. After this we went off to the spa and spent two hours between the spa and the beach pool. Liam found another little friend, Lachlan, to play with so Dad found himself spending an hour in the beach pool playing chasey with our ball. This pool is quite warm relatively. The temperature was supposed to get to 31C today but it didn't eventuate and it would have been lucky to have got to 22C. This didn't cool Liam's desire to go swimming, he just doesn't seem to feel the temperature at all. |
Another BBQ tea tonight and a couple of beers. A good day in all. |
